The Explore Foundation, is a non-profit organization that launched in August 2025 with a mission to build a brighter, more inclusive and equitable future through the power of education. We believe that every child, regardless of their background or circumstances, deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. Through our work, we are actively shaping a brighter future by making quality education accessible to all children, particularly in public schools across Nigeria.

Our Mission

As part of our mission, The Explore Foundation focuses on the following key areas:.

  1. Fostering Inclusive Learning Environments: We work closely with schools especially public schools to ensure that all children, including those from marginalized communities, have access to safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environments.
  2. Empowering Educators: We provide teachers with the training, tools, and resources they need to deliver high-quality education. We believe that empowering educators is the key to transforming education and student achievement.
  3. Providing Educational Resources: Our programs focus on ensuring that every student, especially those in public schools in Nigeria, has access to essential learning resources such as books and school supplies.
  4. Offer scholarships, enrichment programs, and learning support to students with additional needs.

Conference

The High Impact Conference for Educators - the premier event for educators, administrators, and educational leaders committed to transforming the landscape of education. On Saturday, the 6th of June 2026, we are bringing together some of the brightest minds in education to share innovative ideas and inspire change.

HICE 2026, as a flagship event of The Explore Foundation, will bring together over 500 passionate educators, administrators, and thought leaders. The theme of the conference is "Empowering Educators: The Path to Transformation. Our goal is to create an environment where meaningful change in education can be sparked through collaboration and actionable strategies and valuable networking opportunities.
This free conference will offer a platform for impactful discussions on inclusive education, teacher leadership, and the role of educators in shaping the future of Nigeria's education system.

Founder, The Explore Foundation

CEO, Silver Crest Educational Services

Uche Monu is the CEO and Lead Consultant of Silver Crest Educational Services Ltd. and a respected education professional with over 15 years of experience in teacher development, educational leadership, school improvement, and advocacy. She is passionate about raising standards in education by empowering educators, strengthening schools, and promoting inclusive, high-quality learning for every child.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in French, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, and an Advanced Diploma in Educational Leadership and Management. She is also an alumna of the Senior Management Programme (SMP 47) at Lagos Business School. A certified Montessori Directress, Uche holds an International Diploma in the Montessori Method of Education and a Diploma in Special Educational Needs, reflecting her commitment to inclusive and child-centred education.

Her journey in education began in 2010 with the establishment of The Explore Creativity Centre in Asaba, an after-school initiative designed to nurture creativity and develop children's diverse talents. In 2020, she founded Silver Crest School in Lagos, which later evolved into Silver Crest Educational Services, a consultancy dedicated to teacher training, school improvement, and educational tourism.

Uche is the Founder of The Explore Foundation, a non-profit organisation committed to advancing equitable and inclusive education. Through the Foundation, she empowers educators, supports schools particularly within Nigeria's public education sector and promotes inclusive learning environments. She is also the Convener of the High Impact Conference for Educators, the Foundation's flagship professional development initiative.

She serves as Chairperson of the Train the Trainers Summit, a nationwide initiative of The Duke's Infant & Child Foundation, where she is also a member of the Board of Trustees. In these roles, she champions leadership development, educator capacity building, and community empowerment while contributing to initiatives that expand opportunities for children across Nigeria. She also serves on the boards of organisations dedicated to educational and transformational development.

Uche is the author of The Empowered Educator: Raising Standards of Professionalism in Teaching, a practical guide that equips educators to embrace excellence, professionalism, and continuous growth. She has participated in numerous local and international training programmes, educational conferences, and professional learning initiatives, continually strengthening her expertise and broadening her impact.

Beyond education, Uche is an experienced travel consultant who has organised international educational tours and conferences. Her life's work is dedicated to empowering educators, advancing quality early childhood and basic education, and transforming communities through purposeful leadership and lifelong learning.
